Members Thunderbroom
I know nothing about WoW. What's the scoop? Based on the posts in this thread it seems to be like a modern version of D&D (which I've also never played).

Based on the posts in this thread it seems to be like a modern version of D&D (which I've also never played). Basically, TB. It's like Everquest. An online game where you create a persona (character) and team up with other people to go "adventuring" and killing things while acquiring power and items. Least, I am pretty sure that's what it is. Never played either, myself.

Members Bogster
Yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm holding out for the new Star Wars MMO, called SW: The Old Republic. I have and played Neverwinter Nights for awhile. I haven't done any online gaming for about 3.5 years, now. But I liked NWN.

Members Hearafter
What I know of WoW, witnessed firsthand: -People sell (and apparently buy) their accounts for $250 on Craigslist. -People get addicted to it, and lose things, like jobs, girlfriends, minds... -People get addicted to it, and gain things, like weight, cholesterol points... When I saw 3 dudes sitting at a horseshoe-shaped table, all weighing over 300 lbs, wearing headphone/microphone combo things, in a mobile home with no running water, furiously playing Wow... I decided that I didn't want to try this game. I realize this was somewhat of an extreme, but it reminded me of those commercials when kids decide not to do drugs because they see some one who is really {censored}ed up from them.
