Members solderjunkie
I like overdrive and distortion, but not FUZZ Maybe I'm trying the wrong pedals? I've tried a USA Big Muff, a Russian Big Muff, and a Mini-Muff... they all sounded like muddy ass. Maybe a Muff is not "my" sound?
Members fretless
yeah not the best thing for bass , maybe for 1 tune or a part of a tune but I tend to agree .
Members Cliff Fiscal
I simply adore my russian Big Muff. Which ODs do you like?

I have a few Boss pedals... a DS-1, an OD-3, and a SD-1. I also have this nifty Yamaha distortion pedal from Sir Guttermouth.
Members Bogster
Aww, come on. You don't like the Fuzz? Sure, Disturbed isn't the greatest band or anything, but he always had a decent sound with that 'ray.
Members Guttermouth
i know i always say this but, you might try finding an old rat.they do the od/ distortion thing really well but still get into fuzz territory with the gain dimed out. Members collinwho
I'm almost exactly the opposite. I haven't been happy with any overdrive or distortion that I've tried with bass, but I can always get an awesome sound out of a fuzz.
Members Renfield
Too each their own. I like both, I use both, and sometimes even together. Fuzz into OD isn't the same as OD into fuzz either, so I have both options.
Members Sugarskull
I'm happy with what I have. My Guttermouth Doom fuzz is killer. For an overdrive sound, I'll just bump up the gain on my amp.

Members Optimus Prime
I know it sounds like I'm just copying everyone, but go listen to some early Audioslave. Tim Commerford is the bass fuzz god.
