Members Thumper
I just bought my third copy. I keep wearing out/loaning out CDs. This and Who's Next are y favorite recordings of all time. (cranks up Evenflow...)

Members Renfield
This came out when I was in grade 11. I was already way into the Seattle music scene, even before it broke. I was a concert promoter already by that point. I was waiting for it to release, having already played to death the Alive EP and Mother Love Bone album. My best friend and I skipped school that day to make the 5 hour drive to Seattle to pick this up as it wasn't available in Canada for another few weeks. We did this trip every so often, but usually on the weekends. To date I bought the cassette twice and 3 copies of the CD. Only album I have paid for more than that is Faith No More's Angel Dust, 3/4 respectively for that one. Not counting buying it for friends who must own it, gifts or whatever. Jeff Ament's fretless playing has been a big influence on me.
Members Derek5272
Gotta love Pearl Jam My dad actually used to know Matt Cameron... Guess it would've been in the early Soundgarden days, Cameron worked at Kinkos, and my dad worked for Xerox doing equipment repairs, and they'd talk music when he was there. My dad never believed him when he said his band was going to be really big someday...

Even though they had albums out, at that stage they mostly still had day jobs I bet. Many artists did. An album in stores doesn't mean a fat bank account by default. Hell, I work with a few formerly famous people now. After the fame, your life is actually quite long and you need to eat for the rest of your days. Your old band might have bought that nice house, but now you need to eat and insure it.

I got to meet her through him as they were still family friends.
