If I book a flight from Canada (Toronto to be specific) to Europe but I live in the US are there any potential problems I could run into? Extra charges?

I've been looking at flights to Europe on Orbitz and have found that Toronto has the cheapest flights, at times by hundreds of dollars and I can take the Amtrak from where I live to Toronto. I just want to make sure there's not going to be unneccessary complications, and I've never been out the country let alone on an international flight before (well I went to Canada when I was really young but that was years ago).

Also if I'm booking from orbitz are the prices in USD or canadian currency?

i assume you get your passport stamped as an incoming visitor to canada...since your arent in transit

and check in at the canadian flight to europe...

i dont see a problem since you will or may be travellilng from country to country in europe and go through the same immigration process

dont accept israeli stamps...just a piece of paper will do

Doubt there is a problem, flights have to route and connect in other countries all the time.

Strange that you can get the best overseas prices here, because the best deals to fly from one Canadian city to another are always by commuting to the US first.

I once priced out a direct flight from Toronto to Vancouver.

I also priced a charter limo from my home 45 mins east of Toronto to the Buffalo airport. A flight from Buffalo to Seattle and then a charter limo to my friends house in Vancouver.

It came in $45 cheaper.

I can fly to a number of Dominican or Mexican resorts, stay for 5-7 nights all inclusive and free everything for around the same price as a flight to Quebec City, which is about a 6 hour drive from here.

that is weird... from what I've found I can fly from Toronto to Paris for about 800 round trip but it's 1100 from NYC (that's the cheapest US airport that I can easily get to) Flights from where I live (Cleveland) are almost twice as much as Toronto... at least last time I checked

edit:

Gotta love Orbitz's customer service. I asked them the same questions and just got their response; stating what countries they book flights out of... how that answers any of my questions I do not know. Sent another email restating the questions, hopefully they'll actually answer them this time.
