Actually don't waste your stomach on refrigerated pierogies, make 'em yourself. It's the easiest recipe EVAR! Just mix water and flour. Here you go:

You need:

The Filling:

2lbs of potatoes

salt & pepper

0.5lb white cheese

1 small onion

vegetable oil

The Dough:

1lb flour

1 egg

0.75 cup of warm water

salt

1.5 ounce of melted butter

How To:

The Filling:

Peel the potatoes. Cook them(don't overdo it, they need to be not too hard not too soft). Grind them with the cheese. Cut the onion into small bits and brown it a little in oil(in the pan, duh). Mix everything, add salt and pepper for taste. If the filling falls apart, add some water.

The Dough:

Spread the flour on the table into a "volcano". Add the warm water inside the volcano. Add 2 tsp of salt, and mix together for a few minutes. If the dough is sticky, add more flour. If the dough is hard, add more water. Should be the consistency of warm plasticine.

Next:

Use a rolling-pin to roll the dough to about 5mm thick. Use a cup to cut out circles. Use your fingers to work the inside od the circle a little, put it in your palm and add some of the filling in the center. Wrap the pier

I have never heard of perogis before .I am so making this recipe soon. Seems similar to piroshki apart from the cooking method

I don't know where you know piroshki from(meaning where they originate) but they sound like a minimized version of pierogi :) piero?ki :) you know boobs->boobies, cycki->cycushki ;)

I went to a Badger game this Fall, handed the bartender at this bar a $20 dollar bill, ordered four beers at $4/beer....he hands me four beers, and $16 dollars in change. SWEET!
