I think I know what you're talking about, but I'm blank. Can't think of the name or find old links yet.

EDIT: The one I'm thinking of had the picked band in the center and other bands positioned themselves around it. The more similar, the closer they were. The bands were just their names in plain text that floated around with kind of "springy" motion as they got situated. Fun to watch.

If you clicked on one of the bands, it jumped to the center and bands that were similar to it would spring out from the center and sort themselves out. And some band info would show in a box off to the side.

I keep thinking the name was "musicmatch", but that's a jukebox. Maybe it was "music_____". Musicsomething. Something something.

I've got someone else that I showed it to trying to remember the name. That was 5+ years ago though.

that's definitely the site im on about groutt,it was very liquid in the way it operated, shame it seems to have melted into the internet,as it opened me up to a lot of new music.i dont see why the owners would have stopped it,unless adding new artists became too much of a chore.anyone who finds the name gets my pat on their back
