Members jonjohn
That sounds terrible. Yeah it does. But I think the person giving the demo did not have a clue what to do with the knobs
Members Annoying Twit
This demo of the boss syb-5 seems to be much better organised. But if this thread is to go off topic, I should be in the other bass synth thread. YLwAQMTAUKY

I used to have the syb-3 . was fun to play around with , but didn't track the best and the biggest problem I had was trying to get the levels right between clean then effect on. It would be real different through a big P.a as apposed to my amp
Members Jazz Ad
The Behringer tracks better than the Boss and it sounds pretty much the same. It's a very funny toy, worthy of its price.NOw making music is something different.
Members Ender_rpm
Yeha, the first thought I had was that it sounded a lot like the Boss synths. You know, blech
Members JeffBass
What is the ideal bass synth sound? Can anybody name a popular song which utilizes great bass synth? It's mostly a "funk" sound, right? Doesn't MOOG make good ones? Who makes a good one that is easy to use and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Members JeffBass
Cool man, that's what I figured. I just bought a new YES live dvd and Rick Wakeman plays some funky lines on his MOOG from Six Wives of Henry the 8th. This is the sound I envision as a great bass synth sound, like the low notes on Wakeman's MOOG.

Members PiotreX
I've heard one reasonable Syth sound fron a Line6 ToneCore pedal, although I have no idea which one it was. May have been a Dr.Distorto. It was quite nice I must say, although I have no liking for synth sounds.
