Members JacieFB
Weren't you the guy who posted about a haunted firehouse? The reason I ask is because some folks are more sensative to "the other side". Assuming it *is* a spirit, most often, they are not malicious, just wanting attention. Especially since your encounters are often "helpful". This being the case, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Perhaps actually speak to the entity? You can even ask the spirit to leave. Yep, that was me who talked about the fire station stuff. Its been about 3 years aince Ive worked at that station, but they say wierd stuff still goes on there. I kind of feel the same way and told this to my girl, that it doesnt seem to be anything bad thats happened so far, but I now its unnerving(Ill admit the lights turning on and off and {censored} like that did make the hair stand up on the back on my neck) She actually has a Ouiji board shes had since a kid, but Ive already told her Im not too keen on the idea of using anything like that as Ive often heard that it can possibly function as a doorway to let other(and maybe not so friendly) spirits in.We have not used it, nor do we plan to.I think we will have both houses blessed though eventually (certainly cant hurt)

Members JacieFB
Just mentioned this to the wife. She and I read a bit about this stuff. First thing she asked was whether someone near (a relative? a friend?) has passed recently? What about an anniversary or important date coming up? Seriously...they want to be a part of things sometimes. Also, don't use the Ouija Board. Just don't. You know why not to. Believe it, especially if you are open to and believe fully in the things that are happening around you. The wife re-iterated that you can ask them to leave. Tell him/her/them that you are appreciative of their help, but that it is startling you and making things more tense.

Yeah,l told her the same thing already and she agrees, we wont be messing with it, no problem. The wife re-iterated that you can ask them to leave. Tell him/her/them that you are appreciative of their help, but that it is startling you and making things more tense. I believe we will try this. Im going to talk to my fiance about this tommorrow and we will give this a shot, certainly cant hurt either. Thanks JacieFB!!
Members JacieFB
Hang on a sec...you were a firefighter, right? Perhaps you have some folks you helped that have crossed over that are back to try and say thanks. They do that. They often come back to try and apologize to loved ones for doing terrible things. But no reason why they might not just be appreciative that you helped them or you helped their loved ones.

Also, FWIW, it may even be a good thing to completely get rid of the Ouija Board. Strangely, though, that's not as easy as it sounds. A buddy of mine has thrown his away on a couple of occasions, only to find it months later right back in the cabinet where it was before he tossed it. Hmm,her grandfather who passed away about 9 years ago was a Captain with the New Orleans Fire Dept for many years and they were very close. Sorry I never got to meet him before he passed away, was a hell of a good guy from what she's told me.And if it was someone else who passed and just wants to say thanks then thats cool,"your welcome" just dont want to actually see anyone, dont know if I nor she could handle that!! Perhaps granddad feels a connection to you and wants to say hello and help since you guys are so stressed? Perhaps it was him at the firehouse, too? Were you with the same lady then? I know what you mean about it being disconcerting, though. We've had 3 "Toilet seat incidents" around here. To give you a little back story, we are a "toilet seat down" house. No exceptions unless it's a guest who doesn't know or I'm cleaning it. Anyways, one time, my wife was away on business and the dog and I were holding down the fort. I went into the bathroom and found the toilet seat up. I blamed myself...I was a little tipsy and figured I did it and didn't remember. It made for a funny-ha-ha "ghost" story. Well, probably 3 years later, it happened again. Twice. In the same night. Once to me and once to my wife! I thought I was losing my mind until I heard her squalking from the bathroom about it. She thinks it was one of our grandfathers stopping in to say hey and poke at us a little.
Members Roguetitan
I am less concerned about the ghosts than I am wack jobs who are still alive:eek: however I have had some pretty unnerving experiences with non human (demonic entitys) anyone who says they do not believe in ghosts, Demons, God, Angels have never had a personal experience. Ya it sounds to me you have a ghost living with you... maybe check to see if previous occupants of the home have recently died. have you made any renovations or home improvements recently? I have heard that this will prompt paranormal activity.

Perhaps it was him at the firehouse, too? Were you with the same lady then? I guess there is some possibility there as she and her grandparents were very close that it could be one of them at the house. The firehouse stuff though happened long before I met her(by at least a year) plus things have been going on there for at least the last 30 years according to other fireman whove retired but used to work there. I know what you mean about it being disconcerting, though. We've had 3 "Toilet seat incidents" around here. To give you a little back story, we are a "toilet seat down" house. Members phaeton
I'd try to communicate with the ghost. Pour a couple cups of tea, leave out a pen and paper and invite them to share their thoughts. But I'm like that.
Members Roguetitan
...And why is that Roguetitan?? because the Ouija board is a gateway for demonic entity's and when you destroy the board you also close the door to that gateway to the supernatural. anyone who knows anything about the supernatural will tell you never destroy a Ouija board and if you have never messed with one don't start. Although the Ouiji board has been marketed by Parker Brothers for many many years as a toy/boardgame, it is actually based on a form of occult communication known as remote writing, which essentially uses a planchett to function as the medium of communication between the world we know and the "other side". This is something that has existed for centuries, long before the commercial Ouiji Board hit the market, but it basically works in the same way. Some say its just the people touching the planchett who are subconsiously moving it, but there are many who say that it is not just innocent fun and can truly bring out dark or sinister things. THIS is why many say its wise not to play around with them, and I tend to agreee.
Members Guttermouth
i lived in a house that had a spirit in it when i was growing up and ever since i've had issues on and off. i think that once you have an experience with one you tend to be more prone to encountering them. about 6 months ago strange things started happening here - lights coming on and going off, the dogs "seeing" and barking at empty rooms and the hallway, people talking in other rooms of the house etc.. etc.. things ramped up pretty quickly over the course of about 2 weeks and it got pretty scary. i would be here working and hear kids making noise and things moving around in the room behind me. i'd turn around and see the straps on my instruments on the wall moving and feel someone looking at me- just weirdness in general. i was up working one night when they were particularly talkative and something hit me in the back of the head. the next morning - i came in my room, set up a microphone, asked the spirit what it wanted and informed it that i was gonna leave a microphone recording while i was gone. i then left the house with the recorder running. i stayed gone for about a 90 minutes or so, came home ,shut my recording rig down and looked at what was on the timeline. anyway - the long and short of it - i got alot of weird {censored}ing noises ( something tapped the mic several times ) and caught some of the kid talking. it's unintelligible but it's pretty clear that it's a child. after that things calmed down alot almost immediately - there is one spot out in the yard next to a big tree where i still see something a couple of times a week. it freaks the dogs out - they run out the door and chase it off but, the stuff in the house has all but stopped. it feels silly - but just talk to it. worst case scenario - you'll feel like a dork for talking to something you can't see and it may just help the situation ( or at least make you feel like you have some control over things).
