Ashdown cabinet for car audio?

I've got an Ashdown MAG 210 combo that I never use. And I don't like to just waste stuff like that, I spent money on it, it should be getting used. So I had the idea today, while talking with a friend about the system he's getting put in his Blazer tomorrow, to throw my Ashdown speakers in my trunk and hook them up to my stereo. Bad idea? I honestly have no idea when it comes to stuff like this. There's nothing special about the stereo in my car. It's just some cheap Pioneer replacement and stock Acura speakers. Sounds decent though. I'd take the actual amp out of the combo, and probably attempt to sell it. Is this a horrible idea? Maybe take the speakers out too and put in some that are meant for this purpose? Just use the box. Just throwing a ton of random ideas.

I don't necessarily need anything better in my car. I don't listen to incredibly loud, trunk thumping music while I drive. I just figured if it would work, then why the hell not put it in there? Thanks for the info.

It'll sound horrible. As a musician I expect while you don't want trunk thumping bass, you want clarity and balance. The rig will give you neither. It's tuned not for bass, but full range with emphasis on low mids.

I have a JL Audio 10" 300W sub in a custom downfiring enclosure I will sell you for like dirt cheap.

It's already packed and everything, sitting here by my desk! The guy who bought it thought it was the wrong size or model or whatev and sent it back, and I since have put a 12" JBL in a bandpass in my Expedition.

 

It thumps like MLK Drive!
