Members ToeJamFootball
My 13 months old Sony Ericsson dies a few days ago. This has happened with the last three phones I have owned, deadset. Each one died in the 13th months. Anyway I am after a cheap good phone. The only feature I need is Bluetooth, everything beyond that is an unwanted waste of time I use Bluetooth wiht my car stereo for handsfree. I am looking at getting a Nokia 2600, nice and simple. Plus it's only AUD$80. I don't want to spend more than $100...
Members ec437
I have had the same pantech c300 for like 4-5 years now. It is just now having battery problems. Its a damn good phone. So, it would appear that pantech makes a quality product

Members ToeJamFootball
Oh. I assumed they had them "over there". :DI would really like to get the new Nokia Navigator, as it has the GPS built in. Trouble is you have to pay for the GPS Service after a 6 months trial period. One network has a bonus at the moment, they will include the service for 24 months. But I'm sick of Optus and always running out of credit... Members ToeJamFootball
How about a Nokia N96? I would but it's 10 times my budget :D I might give plans more thought. Do they replace phones if they break?

I haven't bought a phone in a while, usually just get them free. I have a SE W960i at the moment, pretty nice phone.

Members Super Bass
This one seems to be fine, it's touch screen and has wifi. I think they're a bit expensive tho?

I'm also very weary of anything touchscreen. I'm not exactly the most easy going on my phones, I dare say I'd break the screen pretty damn quick. Members Mytola
Yeah??? Do you work for them or is this personal experience?? I've had a couple, and I know a lot of people who have/had them. I also read a few reports about mobile phones and reliability. The Nokias had around 20% of them go wrong within a year. Top of the list. The Samsungs were at the bottom with less than 1%. That pretty much reflects what I've heard about them from friends/relatives, and the ones I've had myself. Members ToeJamFootball
OK, well I think I have decided to stay with Optus for now. I have found a Plan which is very good. AUD$79 a month, which gives me $550 credit, and unlimited SMS to any network. Now if I could only decide on a phone I am leaning towards the N95 8GB. One question though, would it use the internet for the GPS? I can't find info about this anywhere. I don't wanna cop extra fees just for using the GPS function... OK, {censored} I just found this "*A-GPS is a network dependant feature that requires a data plan. Additional charges may apply." Maybe I could download Sygic instead... Members ToeJamFootball
ummm.... Hahaha yes I know. But really, what I meant by that was that I have dropped this phone a couple of times. I will make sure to buy a case for this one if I get it...
