Members RSBro
Well after about a 15-16 month hiatus of regular, bi-semi-weekly gigging, I put out an ad yesterday on Houstonbands.net and Craigslist Houston and already got about 10 responses just from yesterday afternoon. I've got at least 3 I'll be trying out in the next few weeks, so wish me luck! Glad I'm getting this Trace in too! I haven't played against 412's in a while, so I'm prepped to bring the thunder! Plus, it does go to 2 ohms, just in case I just might need that 2nd Berg NV... hehehehe... Mostly current and 90's rock cover stuff, but the song selections aren't only the radio singles, which I like. A lot more obscure stuff off older albums, etc.. Lots of drop tunings tho! My Charvel may see some action after all! And to retain the "cover" aspect of it, I probably (unfortunately...bleh) will be playing lots of 4 string.
Members slapthefunkyfour
regular, bi-semi-weekly gigging WTF does that mean? Once a month? 4 times a week? Bi means twice. Semi means every other. So I guess you had one gig a week. At least that's what I thought.

Do ya think someone in the audience will notice that you are playing a cover on a fiver?
Members georgestrings
Congrats, and best of luck... and BTW, I play *most* of my modern rock covers on a 5er, 'cause they go down to D and lower - no one cares, as long as it sounds good... - georgestrings
Members Rob Martinez
Enjoy! I gig with a 4 string and it works just fine!
Members RSBro
4 banger? Why? Do ya think someone in the audience will notice that you are playing a cover on a fiver? Yar yar yar... I simply mean if they prefer or actually require me to play with a pick on songs that were obviously recorded with a pick I probably will be playing 4 strings more. I like having that open string right there if you're detuned, especially if the show is pretty high energy. 5 strings with a pick require a little more precision, and well dammit - I just flat out refuse to practice "technique" at this point!! :D
