Members BassStrings93
Hi, so im thinking about buying this bass, and like every other american, i want to make sure i get a good deal. So what im asking is if somone could tell me what this bass is worth. It doesnt have to be pin point, just close. So yea, its a 1974 Fender Precision bass, sunburst, with maple fretboard... Help is very much appreciated. Thanks... Pics of the bass are attached below
Members bassesofalessergod
assuming it's all original and the real deal, that would be worth around $2700 in a good market Right now at least $2200 i'm not an expert on details though, but shouldn't that neck plate have a serial number stamped on it? Members Thumper
You could check here to confirm the manufacture date by serial number. See if the vendor can send you a pic of the back of the headstock. Mid-to-later '70s P-bass tuners have 'Fender' stamped on the back of the mounting plate. As for value, if it's original it's worth $2500-$2800 or so on the current market---at least that's what I've seen them go for. edit: I just checked the vendor's site. The tuners are correct for the age. That bass is in nice condition.

Members Super Bass
SN seems to show it could be made between '73 and '76. EDIT: Guitardaterproject shows it as a legit '75 Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1975
