Members Bogster
I finally caught this one the other day. I can sum it up like this: 1) Get kicked out of Metallica and form Megadeth 2) Do some coke and heroin 3) Hate Metallica 4) Get rid of guitarist and drummer and get new guitarist and drummer 5) Do some more coke and heroin 6) Hate Metallica 7) Get rid of guitarist and drummer and get new guitarist and drummer 8) Have an album debut at #2 on the billboard charts and go double platinum, but still mad because the Black album debuted at #1 several months before. 9) Do some coke and heroin. Add some crack to the mix 10) Still hating Metallica :D Seriously, I think the most tragic thing (aside from Gar Samuelson's untimely death) is seeing Dave and Dave at odds with each other like they are nowadays. I remember reading about how those two were basically homeless and living in a van together at one point. The drug addictions. Going from making no money to gaining mass popularity and making some pretty good bank. That's a lot to go through together just to end up tossing away a longtime friendship like that. I've heard them refer to each other as "just business partners" which conflicts with things they've said about each other in the past about being so tight. Mustaine even said in the BTM episode "he's the only person who has ever really understood me". Something to that effect. Oh well...decent BTM episode, anyway. Members Goofball Jones
Behind the music was good for a while...but then you start to notice that they're all the same. A band struggles, finds some fame, band member either "OD's/Quits/Goes Crazy" and the band struggles more to come to grips with it's own fame, then "replaces/rehires/has reunion" with someone and that's the end...usually saying something about taking one day at a time. Rinse, repeat for the next episode.

Members Bryan316
When Ellefson left, it wasn't the same band anymore. Change drummers, change lead axemen, still was MegadetH. Now it just sucks. I wish the Drovers would go back to Eidolon. Their stuff ROCKS.

Members nAmzrTakin
He's no more worse than Jaym-uuuh!-zz or Larz tho. I disagree sir. I was lucky enough to meet metallica when they played here back in 2004. They were extremely cool and Kirk gave me a signed pick (Guitar pick not picture) My mum used to run the frequent flyers club for QANTAS airlines. Exactly. On "Some Kind of Monster", when Larz and Dave get together, Dave was doing his deal, and Lars still ended up being the dick in the convo!! Members Bogster
What I don't get is Mustaine's dislike for Kirk. From everything I've read and heard, Kirk's never been quoted as saying an ill word towards Dave. But Dave, in typical Dave fashion, has said that Kirk "is a terrible guitarist and makes the best use of what talent he has...". I think Dave would have been pissed about ANYONE who took his place, and that's just the thing: what guitarist back then wouldn't have taken that spot if it had been offered to them? His hate-on for Kirk clearly reflects that he's still bitter after all this time.

What a {censored}.
Members RIC N BACKER
I saw something on them years ago and thought Mustane was more into booze than drugs In any case, I drove Mustane and Nick Menza in Manhattan in the mid '90's in a limo. Nick was cool but Mustane was a twit......
