that's called: Modern democracy.

Same in France: we all are morons cause the majority was against. And it certainly (i quote) "because we didn't understand this fabulous thing, we all are ignorant and afraid"

The difference is that our gov. doesn't need to have majority in referendum, he can decide to ratify it just by senate + national assembly votes.

So nation said NO, but our president pulled out this lisbon treaty which was ratified by senate + national assembly which are way less morons than people, for sure.

Same here in the good ole USA. Most people were against the banker bailout but we got it anyway.

See a pattern?

I'm sorry, but thats's just
not
funny. You need to study up on your history.

We don't call them pikies, that's a stupid English term.

I am English, my paternal grandparents and all before them were from Dundalk. Dublin looks like a British city, the culture is almost the same... If it wasn't for Britain then Ireland wouldn't be the place it is now. I am fully aware of the persecution of the Irish people in the past, I don't need to study any history

The uncontrolled authority of the "European Union" was a major factor in my decision to move back to America from Holland.

The EU is just up against too many hurdles, the most important of which, is the populace. Riots anyone?

50% of people are of below average intelligence.

And average ain't all that great, either.

That is NOT true. Now you're just pulling statistics out of your ass. I want a link to your sources

:D

Wouldn't it be 49%, though?

I don't think so. There's some median, with half above and half below. I think that the numbers are skewed slightly, anyway, because of some highly intelligent individuals, resulting in more than half being below the mean.

You're mixing your averages with your medians.

No, I'm comparing them. "Average" is poorly defined. Mean and median are not. Most people think that the mean and the median are necessarily the same, and use "average" for both. I followed that usage in my initial post on the subject, using average as a synonym for median, as, I think, most people do, at least part of the time. When I needed to be more precise, I used more precise terms.

1) You'd be ill advised to claim that in Dundalk.

2) You are right on that one.

3) If you say so.

"Slainte bradan bod mor agus bas in eireann"

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

It translates to something like healthy big salmons and penises in ireland?
