OT: Tele wiring questions

OK, I'm following the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram found here:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=standard_tele

I tend to think in a linear fashion, and electricity doesn't work that way, I know.

Anyhoo...where I'm stumped is that (it seems to me) in order to facilitate both pickups "on" in the middle position, the two open posts on each side need to be "bridged".

Also, it seems that the neck/bridge "hot" wires need to be reversed vs. what is in the diagram in order to select bridge vs. neck appropriately.

Am I getting it right?

Thanks!

BeeTL - I think that diagram is from the face of the bass looking in. Your third picture is from the inside of the bass looking out. You may have the wires on the wrong legs of the pots and your volume and tone will operate backwards. :D

I've done this too many times to remember.
