Members Cliff Fiscal
Just like this one........ http://earthshakingmusic.com/WWRBF5BB.html Found one locally for $299 in about 7/10 condition (few dings)? worth it? Anything special about these?
Members fingeringam
For $300 I'd say you could do better. IF your a die hard Warwick fan and know you'll never be able to get one, then MAYBE. But for $300 used you could get a far superior instrument. Members Cliff Fiscal
So $300 for the bass is a fair price? ....but if I could choose.....I should go for something else? Why is the Warwick subpar, and what's better?

Fair as in both sides are getting an equal price? SureIs it a GOOD deal? No Yes, a new Ibanez SRX--- or T-40 (i know you had one of those) or even a MIM jazz would probably be a better instrument.I only played the RB corvette 4 for less than a minute, so my reviews aren't that in depth. They were heavy, which I don't mind as long as they sound good. The neck was like a Warwick gone bad (party because of the set up). It was thick and uncomfortable. The pick ups were very weak and thin, the opposite of a real Warwick. The bridge was a Bad Ass or something and again took away from the Warwick vibe. Again, I'd look Vintage Ibanez, Squier CV/VM, Spector Legend (but you got one), T-40 (again), MIM Jazz/PJ ect. ect. ect.

Never played a "real" Warwick either? What's a Warwick suppose to be and sound like? How do you keep track of my gear so well? I still have the T-40.... Members Cliff Fiscal
Well......yes, this is a forum.......I post about things.....isn't that the point? I still have the Legend....and I really like it. I just stopped at the pawn shop and saw they had a Rockbass hanging there.......fairly unusual for this area. When things pop up around here, I want to find out if it's a good deal. I don't buy things because I want them or whatever. I'm the type that will buy something cheap, and sell it at a fair price. Nothing wrong with doing a lot of work to find this stuff, make a small profit, and get to try out gear for free. It's a Five string.....so I was interested. Members Ender_rpm
$300 for a Rockbass seems like a bit much to me. IIRC, last years Xmas special @ GC was a $99 4 string rock bass, but that was a while ago.
