Members terminalnation
I'm running the amp/cabs in my signature, and I got the bright idea to run both cabs from the Acoustic simultaneously using the L/R speaker outputs. Lo and behold: both cabs complement each other extremely well, and I'd like to do it more often. My only concern is whether or not it's healthy for the amp; the Acoustic pushes 4ohms, and both cabs are wired for 8. That would be 4 going into 16, 2 into 8 x2. I'm familiar with the cab/amp ohm ration, but I've never run dual cabs so it's a bit of a mystery to me. The Peavey cab can also be rewired to go to 2ohms, as both 15'' speakers are 4ohms. Would this be a smart thing to do? Or should I just leave it?
Members FreestyleIntruder
The Acoustic will drive a minimum load of 4 ohms. If you're using two 8ohm cabs together, they will present a combined load of 4 ohms, which will be fine.
