Members Funkee1
Ok! I know.......it's not Monday! I had to share this with y'all though. For the uninitiated, Jing Chi is a collaborative Jazz/ Rock/ fusion band compsed of Robben Ford- guitars, Vinnie Colaiuta- drums, and Jimmy Haslip on bass. It's pretty intense! Here's one of the tracks!

Members Funkee1
This sounds good. For some reason, I could never get into the Yellowjackets. Well, the Yellowjackets are stuck somewhere between Smooth Jazz and Weather Report (Which is why I like them, but it is also why others don't), but Jing Chi is more like instrumental rock. Robben Ford is a bluesman with Jazz sensabilities, Jimmy can just plain play the hell out of a bass, and Vinnie is one of the great chop master drummers of all time! I like it cause it's like fusion, but with a little more melody!

Members Funkee1
I said Yellowjackets connection.... as in Jimmy Haslip Him, Dave Weckl, and Dennis Chambers are my top three faves I know what you said! It doesn't diminish how badass that clip is! In fact, I think it's even cooler knowing a famous jazz musician can rock like that!
