Ashtray bridge covers: who's got 'em?

My latest project involves a bridge with Ghost piezo saddles. The wiring on these is a bit unsightly, so I was thinking about putting an ashtray cover over the bridge. Problem is, palm muting is a big part of my technique, and I'm pretty sure that this would then be impossible. Other problem is, I can't find a bass with a bridge cover so I can confirm this. Anyone got thoughts?

Is this what you're talking about? If this is the case, a bridge cover would definitely hamper your palm muting. Although all in all I don't see that being unsightly, so I imagine you're wiring ghost saddles into a different bridge?

You are correct, it is a retrofit to the existing bridge...so the bridge cover will fit it, and it's definitely going to be uglier than the Hipshot (which is pretty sleek). I may just bite the bullet and toss the original bridge, along with the cover.
