Members gonzobassman
I played with some folks today and broke out my spare head. It is a Yorkville 800 watt head. Played it through an Avatar 4-10. I was completly impressed with this rig. Did not have to do a whole lot of tweaking to get a really good sound out of it,and it was so loud that I had to run it at minumim volume! My buddy at GC took a 4-10,and a 1-18 on trade and says I can aquire them both for 200 dollars max! They are Carvins, but I have ran Carvin speakers with decent results in the past. I'm really excited about this and thought I would see what you guys(and girls)think.
Members s4001
I'm a big Yorkville fan. My combo served well for years, but now has a blown speaker.

Members flip333
I've got a Yorkville 800 watt head with an Avatar 4x10 neo cab.... It is very, very good to my ears. The neo speakers are light and the cab is easy to carry.
Members philthygeezer
IMO the only thing they could improve is to use black knobs with white indicators.
Members georgestrings
I have a Yorkville bloc115 that sounds really good, and gets surprisingly loud for it's size and weight - it was actually one of the reasons why I used my Peavey 215D-BW for trade bait: I figure I'll keep my eyes peeled for another Yorkie or Traynor 115, and use the pair if I want to run a pair of 15s... - georgestrings

Members gonzobassman
I'm thinking a 2-12,and a 2-10 would be a killer speaker set-up. That Avatar 4-10 really rocked ,though. It is a 4-10 neo. They have all kinds of options on speaker cabinets. Anyone know how reliable Avatar speakers are?

The speakers do have slight modifications from the standard Deltalites so they're better suited for Avatar's cab dimensions. Anyway, I've been gigging with my 410 for a couple years, and it's still going strong.
Members Zebra
I heard Carvin's reliability is {censored}. Keep your Yorkies. I've only heard this about their heads, and not their most recent ones at that. I've played quite a bit through an older Carvin 210, and it sounded good and held up very well. Members Renfield
Definite fan here. Over the years I have/had the following: 200B, BM400, BC115, XM50, XS400H, XC808, XC215 (which is a prototype, and for sale if anyone is interested). As well as some Traynor stuff, namely a '67 YBA-1, an '83 Monoblock-II, DB300, TC112 and TC115.

Members bleepo
My PA mains are Yorkville. As are my drum mics. (Apex) Good stuff for the cash spent. Also, I just bought a 10w guitar amp yesterday, and it blew away the fender and Marshall equivalents at $75 less! Go Canada.

Members bleepo
DG10. L&M on Terminal didn't have the TGM10, but it looks by the website that I made the right choice.
Members JeffBass
The new BRX NEO series cabs by Carvin are great. Not a big fan of the old Redline series cabs but they were servicable (for the price). The new Carvin heads are dramatically better but I've played through Yorkville amps and they are very good, especially for the money. I could see it sounding great through the Avatar 4x10. Members Renfield
DG10. L&M on Terminal didn't have the TGM10, but it looks by the website that I made the right choice. You did. The TSM10 and the whole International series are cheap ass Asian OEM amps. Ultra generic. The DynaGains, though Asian made, were designed in-house and use tube emulating circuits very similar to SansAmp. They are a hella bargain, a hidden gem for sure. Nice score. I've been thinking about grabbing the 15 watt with real spring reverb as a guitar amp for when friends come by to jam, I don't have to patch them through my pod and into a bass anp. One of those may be in my future after learning how to play guitar. I've been playing bass 15 years, left handed. I've played enough guitars upside down, but finally got a lefty guitar for xmas. (Epiphone SG) At $84cdn, nothing else could touch this combo!
