The necks are more P than J, they really are half way, they are a PJ truly.

As you know TJF, I have another set of those PJ pups and a body to match. I have been debating either actually painting it and building it up full custom with 3 pups (putting my Model One in the neck) or dropping the model one into my RB630 P bass. I just don't know. I only have one stock PG, so I'd have to have one made for me too if I wanted to mod/build anything. I don't want to ruin the only PG I have for it, it's the original.

Yeah man, I was keen to buy both the pups and body off of you, but I had to fix my car up. :(Model one an J is a great combination IMO.

If I do the full build I'd need a neck made, it's not a standard pocket, so that is a big deterrant.

If I do it, it will be a M1/P/J config. It's that or a M1/P in the RB630, an Ibanez Billy Sheehan essentially. Without the baseball bat at the first position.

BTW, for the edge bevel: For a while in the Navy I ran the engraving shop on my shift. Great job! Anyways, they work with similar materials for all of the engraved plastics signs you see. They have a machine that bevels the plastic edge very quickly and smoothly. If you know of such a shop, it may be worth checking into.

It can be done with any dremel and a very carefully set height guard. This is tempting me to find a finish for my bass and build it up after all.
