Members burnthiscorpse
I had an early 70's EB3 once, and a Reissue EB3(that was awsome) 2 years ago.I am searching for another one. prefferably in cherry. I know i could just buy another re-issue. but i would like to find an origional. Anyone know places to go or look other than E-bay? some of the prices seem a bit inflated, and i really dont want to buy a vintage gibson bass from an e-bay pawn store. even if they do have 2000+ feedback. if they cant answer technical questions about it then they have no idea what they are selling. The EB3 i believe was a 72 i had. the bridge mounting screws were beginning to strip out of the wood and the bridge was lifting. so it needed some good luthier work done. i dont want to spen $1500 on something like "that" cause some pawn store jackass cant answer my questions. If it were $700 and i knew it would need $250 repair up front, then fine. I need a player too. not a collector. it would get the crap played out of it.any suggestions? Members burnthiscorpse
i assume that means bass whore:facepalm: no, actually. but being that i am just getting back into the bass swing after spending 4.5 months on guitar cleansing myself of the gayness that was playing bass for my last band for a year and a half. I have a bunch of stuff pending as far as gigs. trying to get at least two going at once. so the possibility of a Cream tribute act, and a straight up 60's-70's tribute show leaves me possibly needing an EBO. Members Death Hands
Nah, you're much more understandable. Haha. He would just come in here with similar but oh so terribly worded questions about deals he found. I say look locally first. Then Craigslist for the area around.
