Mesa 400+ with RM Tuner

Just noticed that there isn't a "Tuner Out" on the back of the Mesa 400+, so for all those people who use it with a rackmount tuner, how do you run it?

 

i can think of three ways:

1 - Just have it as part of the effects loop, but I fear there will be bleeding.

 

2 - Just have it patched through the "send" of the effects loop, but I fear that this will not complete the loop and kill my amp

 

3 - Run it through the "Slave Out" patch, but then what would I do with the knob at the back?

 

Any and all help would be appreciated

 

edit: I guess another thing I should mention, I WILL be using the effects loop for effects, so... yeah

Depending on the rack tuner, at least some of them have the option of running into the tuner 1st then out to the amp. I use to use a Korg DTR 2000 and it had that with a mute (which I think was footswitchable).

I plug my bass into my tuner, out of the tuner into the my preamp. I use the mute button on the tuner when tuning.

Any of the options you mentioned will work. So will the ones posted by Sludge,and Tyl,but with their suggestion the mute button will work. The tuner you have should not effect the sound in any way.

so if I were to plug it into the slave output, how would the "Slave Level" knob be set?
