Members PrestiaRules
Ok I built two 1x10 cabs a year ago using Eminence 200w 'Whizzer Cone' speakers and 2 crappy guitar cab kits. They worked fine for what I needed at the time (small stage monitor). However I want to put them to better use in a small gig rig. I am thinking of sending them to LDS to have two efficient cabs built for them. (I would really like to set them up in Euphonic Audio style transmission line cabs but I understand that to be very difficult) SO I need a small-medium power head - around 300w at 4ohm. Any suggestions? OR should I just have them built into a single 2x10 400w cab and go the GB Shuttle or MarkBass Little Mark route? ThanksAdam
Members Emprov
Call me old fashioned but I'm a huge fan of GK 400RB's. They're not quite 300w but they're inexpensive, bullet proof, loud for what they are and put out fantastic tone. I'd love to have another one. Members Hotblack
You've got a gang of options. Just go and try stuff out and see what tickles your fance. Acoustic Image ClarusSWR 350EA micro 300Genz Benz Neo Whether or not you're willing to go used will also influence the cost/availability.

Members rpsands
I would suggest a 2x10 straight up like the Genz 2x10 neo. I'd lean toward a used NeoPak personally.

I went for the GB in the end. LM and GB Shuttle are both awsome, it comes down to taste.

Moderators Kindness Posted January 5, 2009 Moderators Share Posted January 5, 2009 extra mini rig = Countrymanend thread. Yikes. I've always gotten them for about $120-$130. Has the price skyrocketed in the last year or is Sweetwater just out of line?

Every time I try to search "Countryman" on MF, it tells me You searched for "microset" so I wasn't able to crosscheck the price. Looks like is $165 on AMS.
