Members txbass68
Does anyone own a Mesa Boogie Diesel 115? I can not find any reviews on them. Please help me out if you can? I have someone selling one for $350. Are they worth it?:poke:

Members RSBro
Offer them $300 and you're set. The Diesels (if it's got the EV driver) are among the best rock or anything else cabs made. They won't do uber-low stuff, but anything in the low mids and up is just dynamite.

Members GreaserMatt
I'm not sure if it was a deisel, but I've owned one of the older 1x15 cabs (with the square metal grill) & it was a very good cab. It looked like the one on the bottom...

Yessir you should be fine with that amp and your stage setup. It's an awesome cab, but for anyone with a detuned 5'er who wants max volume from that would look elsewhere. It's a 4-string players dream.

If the music in a band I play in requires more than that, Oh Well. I was told by an old bass player that any good bass player can play anything on a 4 string. Lol, and any really good bassists could be that much better with extra strings! There was yet another useless TB thread about this yesterday. It was shot down quickly this time, thank God... But go forward on that cab man! It should rock just fine.

Members txbass68
Any more Mesa input? I have a guy wanting $700 for a Mesa+ 400 tube. Is that to high? This is an original 1982 model serviced recently. (resoldering & noise reduction mod and replaced tubes). What do ya'll think?

There's no way it's working right at that price! $700 for a teched and re-tubed 400+?? Damn boy, get all over that mess! That's crazy low, especially since they're d/c'd now and you can't usually pay anyone to part with theirs.
