Members poomwah
I've read reviews on behringer pedals, but how many of you on here have actually used them? what did you think of them?
Members monark
I have a VD400 Vintange Analog Delay and a PH9 Phaser. I use both of them regularly when we play (for guitard though as that's what I play in my band). I do use them with my bass at home when I play though as well. I'm definitely your classic 'budget' musician, and both of these pedals work well for me. They have pretty good sound for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to try another Behringer in the future. In fact, I've been looking at the Hellbabe Wah. I use a Dime Crybaby from Hell now, but I'm digging the Optical Wah, so I'm looking at that or possibly a Morely in the future. Anyway, to answer your question, I would say for the price, Behringers would definitely be worth checking out. If you don't like them, at least you aren't out that much cash, and more than likely you can sell them on eBay for most of what you paid for them... Members Renfield
I have one. Tonally it is not bad, though not as good as the original Boss it is cloned from. We all know it's cheap plastic, and holy is it ever cheap and plastic. They made things out of plastic that I didn't know you could. I intend to rehouse mine in a metal box, I absolutely will not use my foot to trigger it until then. It's a set and forget pedal that mostly stays on anyway, so it's not a big deal, but I want to dial in some more extreme settings to mess around some tmies, and then will need the off button back. I seriously baby it when I am turning the sweitch off with my thumb. It makes me nervous under that little pressure because the lid flexes under the pressure from the internal spring. Members rpsands
I have a rack compressor by behringer, and it's totally solid, and works well. I like it.
Members WashburnGuy
I've been playing for a loooooong time and never used any type of pedal until 2 weeks ago. Recently, I got a BLE100 Limiter/Enhancer from eBay for something like $7.00 plus $7.00 shipping and today, I got the BCH100 Bass Chorus for $15.00 plus $9.00 shipping. $38 for both pedals delivered to my door is cheap enough to experiment with for my first foray into the world of effects pedals. If it doesn't work out....I can stick 'em in a drawer till sometime down the road or Craigslist or eBay 'em....either way, I'm not going to be out alot of dough to allow me to play around with effects pedals. So far, the BLE100 works fine. A slight hiss is detectable when I'm just practicing at home but, at rehearsal, you can't hear any hiss at all so I don't expect any problems in that respect at a gig. I know there's not alot of love for Behringer gear around here but, honestly, I've got several various pieces of their equipment (12 ch mixer, ACX450 Acoustic amp, BA115B bass cabinet and now the two pedals) and can honestly say I haven't had any problems with any of it. A couple of the other guys in my band have some of their gear and it's always been reliable up to now.
Members hi.flyer
I have their Vintage Phaser (basically a Small Stone clone I guess) and like it alot. It IS flimsy but it sounds good.
Members monark
The PH9 I have is basically a Phase 90 clone (actually, more along the EVH Phase 90 as it has the similar switch to give you 2 different sounds). My friend has a 'real' Phase 90 and they sound almost identical to each other. At a fraction of the cost, it was a sweet deal. True the casings aren't 'the sturdiest', but sofar I've yet to stomp on it with enough force that I'm afraid I'm going to break it. I even had a drunk chick fall over my pedal board a while back and neither the delay nor the phaser were 'phased' by it. I'll definitely say that for me, I got my money's worth out of it. Now if they ever come out with that damn Deluxe Memory man clone (VM1)....
Members james on bass
I have a BDI21 and a bass EQ. Both have worked well for me for a couple years now. They sure are flimsy looking though.
Members DevilRaysFan
I have a few Behringer pedals here and there. The only one I use gigging is the Limiter/Enhancer and I only use that one when I play my Cirrus as I think the Cirrus overall tone is somewhat stale and this pedal helps liven it up immensely.... Its a bit noisy but useable in most live applications.....The rest of the pedals I have for yuks-and-giggles...They are all OK and better than OK considering how low they retail for I proudly play what I like regardless of whos name is on it.............
