Members bassplayer7770
So far, I'll have two band auditions next week. I did have an audition in early November, but I'm hoping to have a follow-up session this month. I really need to find a new home 'cause I'm really enjoying playing again. Thursday 01/15 - http://www.ct4rocks.com/?mpf=frame They're supposed to pick 3 songs for me to learn and e-mail them to me. I don't know what those songs are yet... Saturday 01/17 - www.myspace.com/graveyardsuperheroes I have a drummer auditioning with me, but the songs I'll have prepared are STP's "Plush" and "Sex Type Thing", Seven Mary Three's "Cumbersome", and Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown". Other songs I'll be ready to play are STP's "Crackerman", AC/DC's "Shook Me All Night Long", Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" (given), Foo Fighters' "Everlong", and Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive". Anyway, wish me luck, and I hope I'll find a good home soon 'cause I'm dyin' to gig again.

Members 82Daion
Thanks, Chris. How's that STR workin' out for ya? It's great-I'm still digging the tone and feel a few weeks after the fact, which is a good sign. My only complaint is that the B could be a little tighter, but I think it's a string issue rather than anything wrong with the bass itself. I've got some new strings coming in for it, so I'll see whether it helps.

Members thelurker
Best of luck! I'd kind of like to get back out, until I remember what it's like moving a ton of keyboards! Have fun with whoever you end up with!

Have fun with whoever you end up with! I still remember one keyboardist who auditioned for one of my former bands. He came from Dayton and talked a big game, and he had a TON of gear. Then he totally sucked... Play a No Doubt song completely out of tune, then he made excuses for it.
Members bassplayer7770
UPDATE: Still no e-mail with the 3 songs I'm supposed to learn for the CT4 audition, and I still have no specific time or location. I might cancel or reschedule due to... I mentioned I had an audition in early November. Well, their singer e-mailed me to inform me their "current" bassplayer is officially gone. He asked me if I can jam with them this Saturday night at a gig. Basically, I've already learned two sets worth of songs, and he requested I learn two particular songs in addition. So, I'll be playing two sets this Saturday night with a great Rock Cover band. Solid and experienced Rock singer along with excellent guitarist and drummer. Plus, the location would be very convenient for me. I think this is the gig I'd like to get, so wish me luck!
Members bassplayer7770
In case anybody is wondering (based on the number of replies I've received, I'd say nobody gives a {censored} ), the bassplayer is gone because he lived too far away and relied on his girlfriend for transportation. I think his girlfriend left him. He also had no other job than playing bass. Anyway, I'll be workin' hard to prepare for this Saturday night!
