Members Rob Martinez
These look cool and affordable, though I already have a Gibson T-bird IV and Studio bass. These new Epis have active electronics, which are not my bag. Still, they are very intriguing! An Epi through-neck 4 string T-bird for MRP of about $830!! Members poomwah
I love my epi bird, and I REALLY like that pro EXCEPT for the active electronics. My seven year old daughter told me last week that I'm not allowed to get any more basses. That I have too many but when I showed her a pic of the t-bird pro the other night, she freaked out "DAD, you HAVE to get one of those" then she jumped up and started pointing out places on the wall where we could hang it and how good it would look, LOL

I wouldn't mind getting a 4 string, but I am not into active electronics. I wonder if there is a way to bipass the pre-amp, and make it passive? We'll see. If so, I may get one. Hell, it will probably be $500 or $600 new!!

Members poomwah
come to think of it, I do have a brand new pair of t-bird pickups and electronics/knobs. at least they were brand new when they were pulled last summer. Got them from a guy who just wanted the body. Couldn't pass them up for 30 bucks (guy even sent me the bridge) they've been in a drawer ever since. Now I just have to hope the pickups are the same size... the ones on the pro look a little smaller to me :[
Members Renfield
I posted full specs on those in the NAMM thread earlier in the week. I've had the pics for over a week now, they are really nice looking I am digging them big time.
Members 82Daion
I don't much like the big stringers in the neck, but I guess they had to differentiate it somehow.

Eh, anything north of about 400 will be unbearable to me, even as much as I want a passive(and I bet those active circuits suck) 5er Tbird. Members Texas Noise Factory
I'd like to see one of these without the pickguard: I used to own two of those. A Sunburst, and an Ice Blue one. Both 5ers. Cool basses! Sounded decent, and looked badass! They have very narrow string spacing for a 5 string. Like they took a wide 4 string neck and just used it for a five string spacing too.
