Members alexslashaxel
I have had a bass for about a year and have been playing guitar for about 6 years. I'd like to take my bass playing more seriously and start lessons but until I find somewhere to do that I want to get a book to use. I have a jazz bass book that has standard notation and tab and it is mostly walking bass lines that are easy to play through (all 4/4 time). But I want another book to help me progress my bass playing. I enjoy jazz style bass and funk, but I am not good at all. Any recommendations? I'm pretty sure that book is just a sick joke intended to make people of normal intelligence feel like total nincompoops.

I've seen this book in Borders & Barnes & Noble book stores. Never seen it in an instrument shop though. In the same vein with a little more meat (IMO only) is this book: # ISBN-10: 1576238830 # ISBN-13: 978-1576238837

I guess i had forgotten the rest of the book that you are reffering too lol. I didnt like math in school, and when you take something i love and start turning it into math equasions.....i'm pretty much done at that point. Again....it was bought for me. I think it starts off with simple stuff, but it's a really long book. Lots o' info, exercises, etc.
