Members davidM
Hey guys, so last night at band practice we were discussing what we would do if our current band broke up (right now we play all original stuff) and a few of us got into a pretty serious discussion about doing a Cure cover band. I won't give away the clever name we came up with for it, but all the same, what sort gear would a bass player be looking for to get that "Cure" tone? I would assume my Thunderbird through an SVT would be pretty much dead on. Thoughts??

Members collinwho
I like the Cure. If I was going to form a Cure cover band, I would probably call it "Former guitarist of Siouxsie & the Banshees"
Members MikeMess
Please please please don't call yourself "Disintegration" T-Bird > chorus/delay > SVT will definitely do it. Simon used to rock some hollow bodies and even a stingray for a bit, but he's been on the tbird for a decade or so.
Members Texas Noise Factory
I tried out for a local Cure cover band a few years ago. They were called "The Cured". They were actually pretty successful around town. I had alot of fun learning the songs. Some fun basslines in there!
