New Drum set Day!

I haven't had a chance to take real pics, and I know the rules, but I am too excited to hold it in!

I picked them up last night and I haven't even taken them out of the bags yet.

Awesome. I am still assembling my kit. I need 2 crash cymbals and a new throne still. I have not picked out the crash cymbals yet, but I bought a sweet ride on saturday.

I never realized how expensive cymbals are. I have a very nice set of Zildjan high hats, but nothing else. It will be a while before I get some. So, if any of you have any extras that you want to send me, I'll take them.

Those freaking things are why I am taking so long to get it together. I got a really good deal on the ride, and still dropped just over 300.00. The hats I bought used a few months ago, and I think I spent over 150.00 for them. I am guessing I will have 4-500.00 into a pair of crash cymbals.

You got the Pearl set!!! I know it was a no brainer, but I think you did real good dude!!!! Congrats!!! Btw you will end up having more in cymbals then you have in the set for sure!!!

It is kinda close, but cymbals, shells, hardware are close to 1/3rds.

The hi hats I got for free! They are Zildjan New Beat 14" and are about 20 years old. A couple houses up the street from me had a drum kit sitting out in the rain last fall, so I stopped and asked if they were interested in selling the kit, and they just gave them to me! They were one step above junk. Early 70's Apollo brand. A japanese knock-off of Slingerland. Not too bad, but rusty, and they had a really bad refinish job, but they came with the hi hats!
