Over the summer I saw a local artist (college student) showing her stuff at an art fair and was really taken by one particular piece. I hemmed and hawed over buyng it, slept on it for a while, forgot about it for a while, and pinged her today to see if it was still available. It is! So, it's gonna be mine.

Cool! I've got my wife painting in acrylics now--I mean, encouraging her. She has lots of talent that just needs time and work to develop better technique and learn tricks. I hope someday she'll also try oils. Maybe one day I'll see if she'll do something similar or bass-related anyway. Right now it's portraits of her family that really gets her going, so I do what I can to keep her working.

"I don't know much about art, but I know what I hate. And...I don't hate this." - M. Burns

I like it!

+1

I commissioned an artist to do a piece for me last year, I loved his style, but nothing he had done to date was exactly what I was after. It's now tattooed on my arm too.
