Members Super_Donut_Man
So I replaced the bridge on my Jazz with a BAII. I don't have grooves cut in it, but I noticed 1 thing, the strings don't line up exactly with the poles. The 2 middle strings do match up quite well, but the E and G do not (they are in the general area). Is this something that is going to make a huge difference? Should I carve some grooves? (I am still adjusting the truss rod, so I have not adjusted the pickup height yet. Damn thing taking for ever ) If pictures will help, I can take some and post to show what I mean, when I get home this evening.
Members mrcrow
the reason for being able to groove is that you can use a badass II for any bass i grooved mine for my P/J and my rick this is it on the fender...its the only way to get the strings to line up..and stay lined up makes string changing a breeze

Members Hamer-Bass-Head
I find the distance between the strings has to be the same for the bass to feel right. The little bit of offset from the polepieces usually doesnt' matter in most cases
