Members GURREN LAGANN
http://www.ii-park.net/~students/images/impression/bronco_bass_1024.jpg I was saddened to find that GFS don't seem to do bass pickups that fit the Bronco Bass. Are there any other good, cheap pickups that might fit into it? I have a friend who's a bit of a beginner and i'm trying to find it a pickup that has a bit more definition. I'm thinking maybe he'll have to go for a guitar pickup. Which guitar pickup would have a good enough bass response? I'd go with one of the GFS pickups then maybe as they're meant to have good bass response. I'm thinking of swapping out the neck pickup on my Tele. For me it doesn't offer quite the character and definition I'm looking for. But maybe for a bass, it would add definition?
Members hi.flyer
Isn't it just a strat pickup? I feel like I've read that somewhere before. If so, maybe like, a hot rails kinda singlecoil humbucker would be cool.
Members GURREN LAGANN
Would a Tele neck pickup be hard to fit in it?
Members hi.flyer
Would a Tele neck pickup be hard to fit in it? Um, I dunno. I think they're a little narrower. So it would fit, sure. I dunno if the string spacing would work w/ it tho. Probably. Also you might have to get a new pickguard to drop it in.
Members Super Bass
It's a strat pickup. I think a seymour duncan hotrails or hot stack would work nicely. You wouldn't have to worry about strings lining up with the polepieces. As for GFS, I had the lil' killer (hot rails type) before and wasn't too mad on it. Members Super Bass
Not that I know of. Why are you so set on using GFS pickups?
Members Roguetitan
Any other GFS pickups that might work? click the pic will take you to the page get the GK H65 any strat pickup will fit. you could also use a lipstick pickup you could also route out the pickup housing to accommodate any pickup you wanted to put in it
Members Roguetitan
Why are you so set on using GFS pickups? Because they are very good inexpensive electronics would be my guess:idk:I use GFS pickups exclusively on all my builds unless the customer specifically requests another brand of pickup. Members GURREN LAGANN
http://store.guitarfetish.com/gfsprlifistc.html Lipstick could be a good idea. Could you use a bridge position one in the Bronco too do you think? I think he wants one that's higher output than the one he currently has, he complained it was a little quiet. How would this be - http://store.guitarfetish.com/revialtenepi.html ? This is the one I'm swapping out. It's pretty bassy, but I don't know if it'd offer him the snappier treble he seems to want. It doesn't have to be GFS, if there's something for around the same price that's as good, but I haven't sene anything.

Yes you would want to go with a hotter pickup that ia why I suggested the GK H65 plis it is a double coil pickup but ya you are not going to find a higher quality pickup at the same price as GFS and a lot of cases GFS is equal in quality to a lot of the higher priced pickups which are basically clones of the high dollar pupsIMO
