Members ezstep
So, it's over. Gone. Done. Stick a fork in it. 9:45 am CST and already 61 degrees. We dropped below freezing several nights last week, but right now robins are in the yard, finches are at the feeder, I rode the motorcycle yesterday for about an hour to discover that thousands and thousands of acres of farmland are already turned, disked and ready for planting. A tulip tree in the yard is absolutely FULL of buds opening up (should be in full bloom by Tuesday or Wednesday), pear tree is loaded with buds, roses loaded and ready, apple trees budding, etc. I do expect one or two more "backlashes" in the next couple of weeks, though they will be short-lived. Some of you guys are probably looking at snow while reading this. Sorry, dudes! Time marches on.
Members NitroBobby
yep. i hate you. well, not really hate, but hugely jealous of you. here in CT the Night Rod sits idly in the garage while the 12+ inches of snow is laughing at the 2 days above freezing we finally got. this has been a long cold winter. lots of snow. lots of ice. it's crap. unless i'm snow boarding on it. which, this has been a good year for... but i'm ready to see 60+ degrees on the thermo meter. Members L. Ron Hoover
It's the first week in february. Winter's only getting started here. At least three more months before any kind of real spring.
Members Sugarskull
Everything here will melt, I'll start to think about planting something and then it will go back down to -40 again. I want to move south.

I want to move south. The south does that too. As a matter of fact, Texas had some of the most ridiculously unpredictable weather of anywhere I've lived. Members bassman1956
Friday night I still had a foot of snowpack just about everywhere in the yard. Yesterday morning it was still 6 to 8 inches everywhere. After hitting 60F yesterday, there's very little snow left. It froze again over night. It's only supposed to hit 38F today. We have at least 6 weeks of winter left, could be more. Could be 10.

Well, a few weeks ago we went from -31F to +22F in one day. Still felt cold as hell though.
