Members Renfield
He claimed in advance of doing it that he is doing it as some sort of art project (being haggard in public and rapping badly on stages). I think that's his publiscists way of saying he's finally cracked.
Members King Kashue
He claimed in advance of doing it that he is doing it as some sort of art project (being haggard in public and rapping badly on stages). That's what a few of his friends have said. He and Casey Affleck (and their PR people) have claimed that it's a completely serious change, and that Affleck is just documenting the beginning of his music career. Members tubealot
McFly!!!!!!!! I thought Back To The Future was a great movie. I really liked that guy as McFly. He was great. I hope you can tell he is acting... I never really liked these talk shows because alot of the time you can see the guest reading the cue board. Example :08, every time he looks up beyond letterman he's reading from a monitor. Pretty boring.
Members Renfield
Crispin is a whack job. He's a little off in the head, probably has done too much LSD and clearly has some social anxiety issues to boot. I saw him at a convention doing some autographs. By the second hour no one was going near him, he had scared basically the entire building away from him. For one, he showed up... in character (from that rat movie he did) and he stayed that way the entire time. Creeped people out big time.

I know people like that. It's choosing your next words carefully, but needing real time to do it in. He even hints in the piece that he has to do that. (choose his words) I honestly think the guy is a super genius, but one of those that can't always function in the real world. His brain moves too fast for his mouth and body to react too. Members Goofball Jones
Maybe Phoenix is trying to do something along the lines of Andy Kaufman. The thing about Kaufman is that he never played for an audience...he did everything to amuse himself, and maybe Bob Zmuda...not for any audience. He probably laughed his ass off on the crap he did and the reaction it generated by the public.

Kaufman didn't care at all about public opinion. He used the public to further his own means, and that was to entertain himself, and good on him for it. I especially liked Letterman saying "Joaquin I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight".
Members Funkee1
The ladies from the View must read HCBF, cause Elizabeth Hasselbeck (in between plaots to kill Sherri Shepherd......you know she wants to), referred to Joaquin Phoenix's Lettermen appearance as being like Andy Kaufman! We got there first HCBF!!

I'm honestly surprised that Elizabeth Hasselbeck knows who Kaufman was (or is? ) Though I'm not surprised you're watching The View...that's how low my opinion of you has sunk Funkee, you watch The View doesn't elicit a response... I couldn't hear you over the crashing waves of failPost #51 in that thread: I bow to the superior........ But I still think Phoenix is a nutbar, and that Whoppi and Joy Behar are funny. And I will be watching the day Hasselbeck loses it and plunges abig knife in Sherri Shepherds chest. It's gonna happen....just wait!
