Members wiseoldman
Hi guys, Im sure this has probably been covered before but the search option doesn;t seem to be working for me, we're looking at getting a bass amp modelling pedal for our bass player. Was proabbaly thinking line 6's podxt but just wanted to check. I know they have a good reputation but are they the the best (ok, matter of opinion but.....). WHat are our other options? THanks
Members Ender_rpm
We'll need more info first Style? Whats the rest of his gear like? Why do you feel he needs a modeling pedal? Where do you live/rehearse (country is usually specific enough)? What is your budget? There are a lot of them available, the POD is good, I use the Boss GT-6B, lots of guys use the various Sansamps, etc. Help us out so we can help you out
Members Poltergeist
a Sansamp or an MXR M-80 would be awesome.

Members Poltergeist
they give you lots of usable tones.... the Sansamp gets close to those old Ampeg fridges' tones. the M-80 is cool, but if i had to get one i'd probably go for the Sansamp, 'cose the distortion, though far from perfect, is better and you can get some of those subtle grinding tones i love. Members AluminumNeck
I have a Digitech BNX3. I like it. I also really liked the gt-10b. I got a smoking deal on the BNX3. The boss seems a bit more flexiable in effects arrangement.

Members poomwah
I've checked out a few... behringer v amp pro, korg ax3000b, sans amp, zoom , bass floor pod, bass pod xt live. all in all, I prefered the bass pod xt live, followed closely by the korg. The biggest problem is, everybody likes something different. What works great for me may not work for ANYONE else. I THINK I almost had a Pod yesterday : there was a note on my door that the post office tried to deliver something, and that they'd try again monday. I'm waiting on a Pod from Renfield, but we weren't expecting it to get her until wednesday, but I'm not expecting anything else, so who knows what it could be.
