are you ok?!?!

Yeah - it freaked me out though. I'm thinking because my last cigarette yesterday was the last in my pack....I'm going to just not buy anymore

I'm eating baby carrots like crazy right now...as much as I'd like to go the beef jerky route in the other thread - I don't literally want to become Bottom Heavy Kate...

:thu:

Do it with me chick! no more smokes!!!

You've already quit.
The key is not relapsing from this point forward. Good luck.

yeah but today I re-started weight watchers. i lost 60 lbs on it before. and it's time to start counting points again. but but one thing at a time or all in one shot.

it'll be easier not to smoke if i'm not drinking. it'll be easier to lose weight if i'm not drinking beer by the galon and not smoking.

one fell swoop? should i just dive into a better way of life. like starting now?

I'm kind of accidentally doing that as well. I just joined the gym yesterday

Congrats on getting back with the weight watchers -I've thought about trying it too. I'm trying my own route right now...

Fruit for breakfast, carrots every minute of the day , made my lunch. And I've got my excercise gear with me so I go straight after work....

I've tried doing this crap one thing at a time and it never works for me so I'm diving in face first! (poor matt) :D

I've probably only smoked 1 or 2 cigarettes in my entire life...of my own choice that is. Growing up with a smoker in the house, I've second-hand smoked enough to give me asthma as a child and to leave me with under-developed lungs as an adult. Nothing life-threatening or seriously life-altering at this point. I never wanted to be an olympic sprinter, so I guess I'm not put out too much. It does piss me off, though. Smoking in general pisses me off like just about no other thing. Watching family members have organs fail and limbs hacked off because they simply wouldn't stop smoking takes a ridiculous emotional toll.

I know that quitting is not easy due to the various addictions involved (there is more than one addiction you'll be fighting), but the honest truth is your addictions can't feed themselves. They have to trick you into feeding them. You have to be smarter than your addictions. Not buying cigarettes is smart, but your addiction isn't going to go away without a fight.

WOW, the can't{censored}inbreath attacts... I had several. scares the {censored} right outta ya. I also have an inhaler. I also smoke. Sounds very stupid as I type this. I gotta stop smoking too.

To the guy who wants to start smoking to prove howw easy it is to stop...

Start today, (never start) and in 20 years come back and tell us how easy it was to stop.

Honest, I would like to know how you would get it done.
