Members Bryan316
How people can let some of these insane situations happen to their pets, is beyond mentally depraved. It's beyond criminal and illegal. It deserves death. I swear, I'm gonna snap some day and just start ending the lives of some of these despicable people. A dog's hind leg was broken, and it healed, BACKWARDS. It was the sickest, cruelest thing I've ever seen. I never even thought, of a limb breaking and then letting it heal backwards. How can {censored} like this occur? Fat old gray-haired white trash lady breeding pot-bellied pigs, ALL of them starved and emaciated. The mother pigs had NO milk to offer the babies, she was 23 pounds when a normal healthy pig would be around 60 pounds. Ribs. RIBS SHOWING ON A PIG. I wouldn't be able to work for the MHS or the ASPCA, cuz I'd be murdering these bottom-feeding social trash in cold blood with my bare hands. I'd have no mercy for these scum. Members t3ch
Indeed. On the other hand, I find it amusing/sick that emotion gets invoked like this, but when we see famished or poor people, no one gives a {censored}.
Members Bryan316
They had a pit bull with the entire front of his legs SEVERELY burned. Nothing but bare pink fleshy scars. And it was just left outside to fend for itself. Five horses that were beyond skinny. Beyond emaciated. Near-death. FREAKISH looking. Unreal. Unfair. Members Bernie P.
I don't know what sickens me more. The scum that do this stuff or the pathetic penalties imposed on them.Killing them would be no loss that I can see.

Members Bryan316
I force myself to watch, whenever I catch it on. To remind myself to be a GOOD animal owner, to treat Avalanche well, and to never become these kinds of scum. I may hate cats, but even on an angry drunk-as-hell day, I couldn't do to them what these "pet owners" do to theirs. So many {censored}ty childhood memories come back, watching this show. And my brother and I watched every episode of the Detroit season. We've met and spoken to Debby McDonald. I'd love to shake the hands of some of those officers who have to go out and rescue these animals and arrest these scum of society.
Members Crescent Seven
Indeed. On the other hand, I find it amusing/sick that emotion gets invoked like this, but when we see famished or poor people, no one gives a {censored}. I think people rationalize the famished people with the notion that they can at least do something about it, because they're human. Not that it's really any different in most cases, but the animals are helpless for the most part. And when we see a starving child in a third world country, we don't know who the {censored} to blame. However, consider the emotional response to situations where a child in this country is starved or beaten by his parents; when we have a target for our animus, we tend to be more passionate. Again, you're right, there's really no difference except in our reactions.C7
Members J.
On the other hand, I find it amusing/sick that emotion gets invoked like this, but when we see famished or poor people, no one gives a {censored}. I know what you're talking about, because I'm the epitome of that. I wish I could give a concise answer as to why people don't tug at my heart strings like animals do, but the best I can come up with is my experience working with the general public. When I was bank rent-a-cop, I dealt with parents and their little brat kids all the time. There were instances when I wished I could just take some 3-year-old's head and smash it into the wall to get it to stop screaming. People irritate me, therefore it's hard for me to feel sympathy for them as a whole (although there are exceptions). Animals, especially cats and dogs, really get to me. If I saw someone torturing an animal (people do unspeakable horrible things to them) and I knew I wouldn't be prosecuted, I'd gun the person down in a heartbeat. Members Bryan316
Because animals are innocent. They cannot pick a lock and escape their leashes. Humans KNOW BETTER than to get all knocked up when they cannot afford to, yet they're still stupid and do it anyways. Animals aren't stupid and get caught by dumbass worthless thug humans. They're innocent prisoners. They did no wrong to deserve their poverty and pain.
Members t3ch
I'm referring to 3rd world countries or people under bad governments. People dying of disease through no fault of their own in Africa, or people starving in Asia or Central America, or.... I'm not talking about stupid Americans, though there are tragic situations here too. Don't get me wrong, I'm the exact same way, but that doesn't mean I'm not any less disgusted with myself. I also don't believe all animals are "innocent prisoners". I was dragged out of my stroller by my face by a neighbors trained pitbull that they'd owned for years. Not that I'm saying any animals on this show deserved it, I'm just saying there are {censored}head animals out there too. I actually caught a kid throwing rocks at my cat (who I owned for 13 years) when I lived in Dallas, and I picked him up by the throat, put him against a wall, and said I'd "{censored}ing kill [him]" if I saw him do it again. My cat had been coming home with huge welts and scabs on his head for awhile... Little {censored}ing ghetto {censored}head kid.
Members Bryan316
Your neighbor's trained pitbull was trained to KILL, and your neighbors had {censored} control over that dog. Oh, and by rule, I think the entire breed of the pit bull should stop being bred. It should be allowed to fade away. They, as a breed, are far too unstable and naturally vicious, to bother breeding them. Yes, there are the FEW... FEW gentle-giant exemptions to the rule, but not enough of them. The cat is as dumb as a stump, really, but I would never go outa my way to hurt him. Members Bryan316
Actually, holding it up by the armpits is a stable way to lift them. Goofy looking, but stable. Even holding an adult cat by the scruff of the neck is okay. The tail... one paw... the collar... THAT is bad.
Members Les_Izzmor
I feel bad for animals that are treated cruelly. But. I have no problem enjoying a nice steak. I'm pretty sure that cow didn't exactly have a live of luxury before he became my dinner. That cow doesn't feel a thing. I met a guy once who stole a sweet little collie mix that was tied up outside a liquor store, he was throwing a party at his house. He beat that dog mercilessly. I'm not sure what his reaction was when he got up in the morning a few days later, and found the dog missing from the yard. I've never seen a dog get in a car so fast in my life. My brother's friend took her in. C7
