Members tocs100 Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 Can't get the manual to download. I know it does 210w at 4ohms, and 300w at 2ohms, but what about at 8ohms? (Backup transpo prevents me using two cabs right now, and I'm looking at a used Mark III head.) Thanks. Also, what's it weigh?
Members chunky-b Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 210 watts into 8 ohms and 300 into 4 is what I saw on another site... Try these links: http://hc.bloodyvelvet.com/files/224/80301002.pdf http://hc.bloodyvelvet.com/files/224/80300959.pdf[
Members tocs100 Posted February 26, 2009 Author Members Posted February 26, 2009 ^ Yeah, I saw that when I googled, but the HC Reviews say over and over again 210/4ohm, 300/2ohm.
Members chunky-b Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 I opened the two pdf's that I reposted to another site so they are easier for you to download and one list only 4ohm load...
Members tocs100 Posted February 26, 2009 Author Members Posted February 26, 2009 ^Sorry, but the first one starts then stops to open, like at the Peavey site. And the 2nd link says file not found.

I downloaded both from Peavey and then reposted them on another site to hopefully make it easier. Here are the links again and I can download from both of them. http://hc.bloodyvelvet.com/files/224/80300959.pdf http://hc.bloodyvelvet.com/files/224/80301002.pdf
Members tocs100 Posted February 26, 2009 Author Members Posted February 26, 2009 ^ Thanks Chunky-B, I did get the 2nd link to open. However all I can find are diagrams and knob-feature descriptions. Can you find anyplace it says what it weighs? (I have to replace my 60lb. rack-amp as it keeps slipping and cutting/smashing my fingers.)
Members chunky-b Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 Nope. But I know there are several people on here who have or have had one... Hopefully they will be along shortly and find this thread and be able to provide more info...
Members Banta Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 I had two back in the '80s but I can't remember what it said on the back of the amps. But it did state output for corresponding impedance.
Members Banta Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 Oh, and they weren't all that heavy. About 50lbs IIRC.
Members Chlo_treacher Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 i have a feeling it can be either 400w or 700w. i got given a mark iii series by an uncle. it had both those numbers on and i couldn't figure out which was relevant!! hehe. sorry, not much of a tech head. but there's something about 400w.
Members Roguetitan Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 it is either 4 or 2 OHM does not have 8 OHM setting and 43 pounds I think it was
Members tocs100 Posted February 26, 2009 Author Members Posted February 26, 2009 It's def a 1979, 400BH model. I don't know where the 400 comes from, but strangely, some HC Reviews do talk about 400-800watts (?), but that's under the generic listing of Peavey Mark III, wih no model #'s/dates for the review category. If it's really 50lbs. I'm totally out of the deal though. (For reason, check my prior post in "view all posts by tocs100.")
