Members catphish
I haven't done it in probably 7 years, but the discovery of an awesome japanese market near my office who sells tons of sushi grade fish has got me back into it. I started re-honing my skills a couple weeks ago. It's so fun, and really not as hard as some people might think. Tonight's dinner will be Salmon roll, Spicy Shrimp Roll, Salmon Nigiri, and Hokagai Clam Nigiri!

Members jasper383
Be cautious with the Fugu. You are a brave soul. Sushi is one of those things I will kindly leave to the professionals. That and hot dogs.

Members catphish
Sushi is one of those things I will kindly leave to the professionals. The fish is really the only thing you need to be "cautious" with, which is why this market is the bomb. You're buying the exact same fish they are serving at the restaurant contained there. Once you have a source for that it's just a matter of learning to make the rice and form the rolls, etc. Hell, if you dig on sashimi you don't even need to learn anything but the rice. I'm still alive, so the fish must have been okay. I made two large rolls and 8 pieces of nigiri and the ball park cost was around nine bucks. Members catphish
So far away It is a bit out of the way. There must be places in the city though. All those sushi places aren't buying it independently. And there's always the lake!
