Members Inertiatic_SKS
As in the brand, just for clarification purposes I tried out a B600 head through an Acoustic 4x10 and 1x15 and I digged it, but I'm wondering how far that they'll take me? I'm looking for a giggable rig and I personally digged the 4x10/1x15 set-up, but I wanted to make sure it's not one of those n00b rigs kind of like how an MG stack is a n00b right for HCAF that I'll wind up hating in a few months. Please excuse my newbishness, HCBF

Members jasper383
My GC has the whole array of Acoustic cabs and heads. They sound good, and the price is great. Appear to be a great value. The 1x15 struck me as especially nice, and at $199, wow. An $800 cab will certainly sound better, but not 4X better. I would worry about durability and weight. They are most likely particle board (?), and won't hold up to much jostling. They are heavy.
Members jackcheez
They are good bang for buck. What matters is... Do you like the sound of it ? If you do you're half way there. The other part is can it keep up with the volume you need to produce with your band ? Nobody else can tell you if it will work for you. It will become apparent to you when you outgrow it. I dig it at the moment. I've played through Ampegs (tube and SS), but at the moment, I can't hear a huge difference, or at least not enough to warrant the $700 extra it costs for a brand new SVT-CL (my second choice). To be honest, though, I'm probably going used, so if I can find an SVT-CL at a reasonable price used, I might go for that and run it through the Acoustic cabs. Affordability is a huge factor for me. Members Guttermouth
you might try to hunt down an older acoustic head. most of them still go fairly cheap, they're reliable and have a really nice growly mid heavy sound when cranked.

Members JeffBass
I like them. If you want a relatively inexpensive rehearsal or practice amp they can fill the bill. 299.00 bucks for a 200w, 15" two-way rehearsal combo (that sounds good) is a deal. It's the kind of amp that you can hear (and feel) during a loud rock rehearsal and not worry too much about leaving at somebody else's house. It's also enough for smaller gigs (without being mic'd). The B200 to me is their best bang-for-buck amp for these reasons. They are more suited towards a "rock" flavored tone though so if clarity/transparency is your thing then try something else. Haven't tried their new 600w head yet. I imagine it would sound good if paired with good cabs, like most heads. I can see why Acoustic is making a comeback with these amps. Members bnyswonger
It's entry-level stuff that looks like a venerable line. Better than Behringer, but just.
Members Bryan316
Played some Saturday. Not impressed. Twangy, honky, loud, but NO RUMBLE. their 15 cab was lifeless and muddy. Not a truely DEEP cabinet.
Moderators isaac42 Posted March 2, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 2, 2009 My recollection is that they were loud, but not deep. That was fine in their day, as most players wanted loud, and didn't care about much else.
Members bnyswonger
I base my opinion on trying some of the combos at GC. I heard distortion at levels where I shouldn't have....not a good sign. Also very uneven in response.

Members Phantasm
I've played a few of the new GC produced ones and they are total garbage IMO. Sounds like scraping a fork on a plate.
