Members zachoff
Got a note in facebook about top 10 shows. Generally, I hate these f'n things, but this one intrigued me. It took about 45 minutes of thinking, but here's my list... Post yours if you want! Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax 1991 Red Rocks. To this day, the most mind blowing thing this 15 year old could have ever seen. Slayer & Napalm Death - Mammoth (Denver) 1994 or 1995. Slayer rules live. Slayer, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Children of Bodom - Fillmore (Denver) 2006ish? Slayer rules live again. Mudhoney - Larimer Lounge (Denver) 2005ish? Completely went off. Pegboy, DOA, Unwound? - Ogden (Denver), I think... 1995 or 1996. Pegboy destroyed that night. Supersuckers - 1995 Fox (Boulder)... Twist party that ruled. J Mascis @ The Bluebird (Denver) - 2002... It was my 26th birthday and to this day, other than the birth of my kids, the greatest day of my life. Woke up, saw Star Wars I, got a call from my parents afterward & my dad gave me club seats to game 3 of Avs/Wings (Avs won, but lost the series), went out with the family for sushi afterward, and met Glen at the Bluebird that night for J. Rad. Descendents - Nightengales (Fort Collins) 1996... Reunion show. Quicksand - Fox Theater (Boulder) 1997 I think... Another Twist party & it ruled. Whitesnake & Bad English Omaha Civic Auditorium (Omaha) 1988 because it was the first show I saw without mom & dad... And the first time I saw studded leather bras outside of videos. Others that might make it on another day... Hot Snakes at Tulagis (Boulder) around 2003. I never saw Drive Like Jehu, so yeah. Dead Low Tide @ 15th St Tavern (Denver)... I think 1997 or so. Rocket from the Crypt at The Fox (Boulder) around 2000. The Fluid & Boss 302 last summer was pretty epic. Foo Fighters at Red Rocks last fall was rad (3rd row!).
