Members Rowka
Tongue-tied Clinton gets warm EU welcome By David Brunnstrom BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton raised eyebrows on her first visit to Europe as secretary of state when she mispronounced her EU counterparts' names and claimed U.S. democracy was older than Europe's. A veteran politician, Clinton compared the complex European political environment to that of the two-party U.S. system, before adding: "I have never understood multiparty democracy. "It is hard enough with two parties to come to any resolution, and I say this very respectfully, because I feel the same way about our own democracy, which has been around a lot longer than European democracy." The remark provoked much headshaking in the parliament of a bloc that likes to trace back its democratic tradition thousands of years to the days of classical Greece. http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSTRE5253XS20090306?sp=true
Members RSBro
Well, what'd you expect? BO told us just last year in the primaries she was unfit to run and represent this country. At least he's honest about one thing thus far!

C7 Well, she hasn't vomited on the PM of another country, yet, that we know of... But what comes out of her mouth might as well be from the sounds of this article... Members philthygeezer
Oh my god. People gaffe!!! NOOO WAAAYYY DOOOD!! I think the proper response is a shrugging of shoulders and a bit of sympathy. We all say stupid {censored} once in awhile when we open our mouths without thinking. The nervousness of public forums and diplomatic imperatives must exacerbate things a few orders of magnitude.

Members philthygeezer
Again, I think now that even Palin should get a free pass for some patently ill-informed, dumb-ass remarks. Nobody's perfect. It's the stuff they genuinely believe and repeat that we should concern ourselves with.
Members ezstep
Yeah, please, don't leave home without it. What an idiot. Gotta agree. I've seen the speech about Health Care, where the boy was sick and went to the emergency room...and...uh...well, with BETTER health care...uh...he might not have NEEDED to go to the emergency room...and...uh... He made Bush look like an orator. But we voted for change.
