I know this came up in the past, but anyone who is interested in racing other HCBFers, let's use this thread to identify ourselves and PM Wii IDs.

Sound like a plan?

By the way...I'm in.

Last night was the first time I ever played on a Wii. It was actually the first time I played a video game in about 8 years.

It was a lot of fun! What a great product/platform.

I bought a Wii as a family Christmas present and this is the first time I've played a video game since the 2600 which would be the early '80s. We have Sports, Mario Cart, Play and Blazing Angels. Our Wii is connected to the internet but I haven't setup an ID yet.

i have wii mario cart but i need to figure out this code stuff first.

When you connect to the WFC, a 16 digit code will be displayed beneath your Mii. You share that code with the people you want to play with and they share their code with you. Once you have exchanged codes (which are entered in the Register a Friend menu) you can meet up online. However, it often takes a while after the initial exchange for the codes to register - a reset and reconnection to the WFC sometimes does the trick.

If any of you want to send me your codes, I'll put them in my system and that will allow me to set up a room where we all can play. I can also send out a PM to everyone on the list with everyone's numbers so you guys can play without me.

We're on now.

Probably missed you.

My youngest daughter and I both have all gold for 50 and 100 and mixed medals on 150cc Grand Prix.

We're now trying for all gold on 150cc for both licenses.

We raced a bit earlier, and I'm painting the artwork on the bass tonight.

I'm going for 2 stars in all the races now (50cc through mirror mode). This won't be tough. 3 stars on the other hand.

I have no idea what you're taking about...:D

I assumed there were more challenges awaiting, I just haven't looked into what they were.

Cool :thu:

I've only unlocked 2 circuits thusfar (the leaf? and the star), and I only play on 50cc thusfar. This n00b has got a long way to go.

Kindness mentioned to me that he uses the controller (not the remote) to drive because he finds it easier to control. I use the wheel. What do you use, BeeTL?

I prefer to steer with my left thumb as well.

The virtual wheel is too imprecise for me.

My favorite game before the Wii was Mario Kart 64, so I downloaded that when I got the system in Christmas 2007.

MK 64, like many of the old games, requires the Classic Controller, and I only recently discovered that you can use it for MK Wii as well.

You can also use the nunchuck setup to try thumb steering without buying the Classic Controller.
