Members mlwarriner Posted January 6, 2010 Members Share Posted January 6, 2010 I'm a big fan of the Chinese charater tatoos that may or may not say what the person thinks it says. in a funny and slightly related story - when my unit deployed to baghdad, several of the guys thought it'd be cool to get uniform name tapes done up in arabic and put them on their dcu's, body armor, helmets, etc. etc. etc. one day, i was working a gate into our camp, and our regular translator guy came in. the guy working with me was one of the ones who'd had the arabic tapes made. when the translator saw him, he burst into laughter. when questioned about what was so funny, he rattled off the actual translation of the other guy's name tapes. "my mother sleeps with goats" so be careful, any of you, who are getting foreign languages inked into your flesh. chances are good that it doesn't say what you think it says. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
