Members SB900LE
My buddy thinks Squier makes/made a P bass with a jazz neck, and he wants to find one. Anyone know of this? [i'll take my answer off-the-air.]
Members soul-x
The Squier P-bass Special and Pete Wentz have Jazz necks.
Members Darkstorm
Thinks was the P bass special but yes does remember them advertising a bass with the "slimmer jazz neck" and the "smaller" P body or somesuch highlighting the idea of best of both combined into one. Members DevilRaysFan
Theres actually been quite a few Fender "P" models with tapered Jazz-style necks over the years Also, a lot of 1972 Precisions had Jazz necks as Fender had a massive over-run of J necks. They used the neck, added dots (instead of blocks), no binding. Those 1972s with Jazz necks are sought by both players and collectors alike

I think you're thinking about the Fender Lyte/Zone models, which have smaller bodies with a jazz neck. The Squier P bass special has a regular sized P-body with a jazz neck.
