Hmmm, I hadn't heard about any reliability issues..... care to elaborate?
:)

I only have second and third hand stories, but representative versions of them can be found easily on talkbass if you search the amp forum (and less easily here - there is a forum member that went through two or three VRs all having problems). It sounds like there were sporadic parts sourcing issues and I've personally witnessed some issues with the protection circuit preventing the amp from coming out of standby. The basic design is fine, but amp to amp there are stories of problems. That said, if you have one that works, I like it more than the CL.

Thanks, well, I don't think the guy selling it would rip me off and not tell me if it's had problems.

Hmmmmm.....

What about a 70s Magnavox?....

If it works properly, go for it unless it's ridiculously overpriced. I can't tell if it is or not because I have no reference for Australian dollars. If you really want the authentic SVT vibe, this will give it to you.

Dude is selling an NV610 as well... Hmmm, I'll bet he's a TBer.
