Members slapthefunkyfour
I have a pair of Sony 7506 that are awesome. But they are too big for doing yard work or for casual listening. I wanted something smaller. My little brother is a dealer for Skull Candy and he hooked me up with some of these. For the price (retail: $39.95), these are by far the best earbuds I've ever used. AFAIK, they use the standard size replacement foam/silicone inserts. They are made from all metal, no cheap plastic crap. They also feature a braided nylon cable that stops the noise you get when the cable brushes against your shirt or something. they have a volume control built into the cable. They are very comfortable and they stay put. 11mm driver, 20Hz-20KHz, 16 ohms, 100mW power handling,

Members Renfield
Lovely. I bought a pair of their ear buds last year, probably the predecessor to those as they looked a little different, were plastic, and the same price point. They had horrid low end I thought, just lacked in anything deep. The largest size of rubber ear inserts was still too small to fit in my head so they constantly fell out. I had to attach a paperclip to the cable to lock it onto my collar to help take the weight off so they'd stay still for at least 5 steps, before they'd fall out anyway. I treat my headphones well, never tug on the wires, cram it into a small pocket or anything that could be remotely construed as misuse. The flimsy little connector on it still failed after 2 weeks so the signal only came out of one side regardless. Warranty? What's that? I brought it into the store and they basically told me to go away, one side still works, so it's not a defect, I clearly broke them. I bought a replacement 1/8" jack to try and fix them myself, but couldn't get it wired up to work properly again, things were just too small and fragile inside the rubber sleeve to work with. So in the end, still less than a month after buying them, they went in the garbage as that's all they were at that point. I love the look of their stuff, but I'll be hard pressed to give them a penny again.

Members t3ch
I just have a hard time buying earphones that stick inside my ear. Seems kinda gross. I use the over-ear ones, but mine are POS

Members Orph
I absolutely HATE skullcandy earplugs. I bought two sets when I was in the U.S. The first broke on the plane, because the flimsy little plug fell apart (!), and second one got {censored}ed after having used them for a month or so. The plugs are machined metal, and so is the connector. I replaced the connector with something from radioshack, and they've worked the last week or so. But the cable is too stiff, the sound is too bassy (I actually can't hear some of the background guitarstuff in a lot of songs), and the plugs are too heavy, so they fall out of my ear all the time. I bought a pair of sennheisers two months ago, they really are a world of difference: They are light and sound great. But the connector got busted on these as well (but I'm getting new ones under warranty, the connector replacement on the skullcandy set is just a temporary thing). How hard can it be to make a set of plugs with a decent connector that can stand some wear and tear !? I mean, they are meant for normal use. Honestly ? It SUCKS paying $100 to get decent sound, only to have the damn ear plugs go dead on you after a month, having used them normally.
