Members bassplayer7770
Thoughts? I like that it pushes 500 watts at 8 ohms. Makes me wonder how it would sound with my LDS 15/6.5 cab... http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2427&sid=610&cid=95#

Yeah, I know there's a thread on TB, but I thought I'd post about it here. I'm not in the market for a new amp right now anyway...

Members collinwho
Visually, I find it quite appealing. I haven't heard it, or any of the shuttle series, but I'm sure they sound great.

Members bassplayer7770
Carvin?!?!? Man, it's powerful, has great features (and reviews), and it was the right price when I needed it. Now I can save up for a much nicer amp someday... Like perhaps... a Shuttle 9.0 M9 Carbine MoMark 800 (or maybe just an LM800) Something that pushes at least 500 watts at 8 ohms preferably... Members Les_Izzmor
Damn. I love my Shuttle 6.0. But. That thing looks badass. I want it. Agedhorse and hasbeen, I'll trade you my GBE500 and 6.0 for that straight up. How 'bout it?
Members bassplayer7770
So, when's it go on sale, and for how much? The official release date is today, and The Perfect Bass is selling them for $829. http://www.theperfectbass.com/explore.cfm?STORE=Y&N=113&SN=341&CT=101a&PG=103664101&W=STORE&P=N&S=1001081&U=1&SS=1&CR=Y
Members kaiser_sosea
On sale today, I believe it's around $829. What's nice about Genz is that they don't generate all the hype and then not deliver. I had just heard about this earlier this week and the official release date is (today) October 1st and they are at the dealers ready to ship. I know it's been said before but many companies have a lot to learn from Genz Benz in regards to product development, marketing, and customer service. Members bassplayer7770
The head is only 4lbs, which means my cab with head installed would only weigh in the mid to upper 40s...
Members dwalmz
Visually, I find it quite appealing. I haven't heard it, or any of the shuttle series, but I'm sure they sound great.I own the Shuttle 3.0 and the Shuttle 6.0. They're all that and a bag of chips albiet a bit more expensive than the other micros on the market. The Carvin is easily the most affordable @$399. I may have to upgrade and get a 9.0 but maybe next year. I'm cool for now, if I need more power I have my Yorkville XS800H.
Members Super Bass
DANG! thats hot! I have a 6.0 though... so I won't be buying one of these. Maybe the Shuttle 18.0 if that ever comes out though.

Members rpsands
The 9.0 is looking mighty for sure. Now if they could put out a Shuttlemax style 1u preamp at ~450 Still might wind up trading in my IAmp toward a 9.0 - the Genz eq can do close enough to what I like, and light backup/small gig amp sounds really nice to my ears. Members bleepo
I like that it has a tuner mute of the footswitch. Thats the only feature I wish I had on my GBE 1200.
